Proyecto Cultural and The PALETTE Project: Cultural preservation through art and partnership

Proyecto Cultural is a Hispanic cultural youth center in Lincoln that provides a safe space for youth to celebrate and explore their heritage. Through Proyecto Cultural, young girls learn traditional folkloric dance as members of Sangre Azteca.

Dana and Juan Rodriguez, founders of Proyecto Cultural, are partnering with The PALETTE Project – a community and art-centered business – to amplify and celebrate Sangre Azteca through a large mural installation that will be painted on the outside of the center by October 2021.

Rabble Media chatted with Proyecto Cultural, members of Sangre Azteca, and the founder of The PALETTE Project, Erika Casarin, to learn more about how their partnership will contribute to cultural preservation.
